1. SATURDAY CIRCULAR WALKS, led by Clare Castle Country Park Volunteers
25 June Clare/Cavendish 8 miles 3 hours Moderate
23 July Claret Hall/Stoke by Clare 6 miles 2 ½ hours Moderate
20 August Houghton Hall 5 ½ miles 2 ½ hours Moderate
24 September Long Lane/Hickford Hill 5 miles 2 hours Moderate
22 October Clare Circular Walk 3 miles 1 ½ hours Moderate
Meet at Clare Park Centre (next to Country Park car park) at 10.00 am
The car park charge is £2 for more than 1 hour. There is no charge for the Walks
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but they will need to be on a lead at all times. Children are welcome provided parents are confident they can walk the distance
Bring appropriate clothing, footwear and WATER. Individuals walk at their own risk
Each walk involves some walking on rough ground, hence ‘Moderate’ classification

Thursday 18 August 11.00 am Clare Castle and Market 1 ½ hours
Saturday 20 August 1.30 pm Parish Church and Priory 1 ½ hours
Saturday 3 September 11.00 am Introduction to Park & Town 2 hours
Saturday 17 September 11.00 am Historic Buildings of Clare 1 ½ hours
Meet at Clare Park Centre (next to Country Park car park). The car park charge is £2 for more than 1 hour.
There will be an opportunity to visit the Ancient House Museum at the end of each Tour (entrance £1)
Wheelchair users need to pre-book on 01787 277335, and may not be able to complete the whole Tour
Wear suitable footwear; there will be some walking on gravel etc. Dogs are not permitted on the Tours
There is no charge for the Tours
